| When you think of great college coaches, you think of Jerry Sandusky. Time and time again, Sandusky's masterful game plans have shut down some of college footballs most highly respected players. From the stingy, run stopping shows against Marcus Allen and Hershel Walker, to the intelligent pass defending schemes against Vinny Testaverde and Tim Couch, Sandusky has taken an innovative approach to developing some of college football's greatest defensive efforts in recent memory. He has also been tagged the architect of "Linebacker U" for his development of numerous All- Americans and NFL Hall of Fame inductees during his 31 years at Penn State. He has been named Assistant coach of the year twice, most recently in 1999, and Awarded the Hall Foundations Contribution to Amateur Athletics Award. Furthermore, he has been the recipient of numerous awards for his achievement in community improvement. He has recently been awarded the Fellow Alumni Award, the highest honor given by the Penn Sate Alumni Association. With twenty six years of experience as camp director for the Penn State Football Camp, coach Sandusky guarantees that each camper will enjoy both a well- organized and efficient camp, making the most of the time they spend on and off the field. Sandusky has dedicated his life to being an incomparable teacher and coach. His methods will enable each kid to learn sound, proven techniques that will make them more knowledgeable about the game of football. | |
